Optimist Jr. High Wrestling Championships

The Optimist tournament is the Jr. High Wrestling Championships for Lancaster and Lebanon Counties, Pennsylvania.  The tournament is sponsored and organized by the Elizabethtown Optimist Club and is the season finale for the region's Jr. High wrestling competition.

2014 Tournament Results

2/2/2014 - The 2014 Jr. High Optimist Championships was held at Elizabethtown High School in front of a capacity crowd.  The format this year was one-day with wrestle-backs from the quarter finals.


Congratulations to Cocalico on being crowned the 2014 Optimist tournament team champions.  Cocalico won with 217 points followed by a tie for second place between JP McCaskey and Warwick each with 183 points.


Congratulations to Jarod Loose (90lbs) of Hempfield for being named the 2014 Outstanding Wrestler.  And to Christian Schilling (122lbs) of Garden Spot for winning most falls in the least amount of time, 4 falls in 3:59.
